Submittable Holdings, a vendor located in Missoula, Montana, is mailing Minnesota income tax refund checks, which may confuse consumers looking for a payment from the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
The state is also collaborating with the United States. Payments will be distributed by the bank.
According to Ryan Brown, a spokesman for the Minnesota Department of Revenue, the DOR utilizes a third party since the department is in the midst of property tax refund period as well as does not have the capacity to send out both payments without risking disrupting property tax returns.
Who Is Eligible for Minnesota Tax Rebate Payment?
In accordance with the DOR, eligible Minnesotans will receive the following payments:
- $520 for married couples with an adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less who file a combined income or property tax return in 2021.
- $260 for everyone else with an adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less in 2021.
- Another $260 for each dependent, with a maximum of three dependents, for a total reimbursement of $1,300 per family.

When Will Paper Checks Be Mailed?
Direct deposits will be mailed first, followed by checks. Recipients who opted for direct deposit on their 2021 taxes or modified the bank details with the department early this summer should have received their payments by now.
Paper checks will be mailed until September. By the end of the month, the department expects to have distributed over 2.1 million rebate checks.
If you haven’t received your rebate payment by October, the DOR recommends that you check the eligibility conditions on the department’s website.
If you qualify, contact a customer service representative at 651-565-6595 or [email protected].
