At 104, he made headlines as the world’s oldest person to fly in a vintage 1930s Tiger Moth plane. Not stopping there, he even learned to rappel at a climbing facility near his home.
Breaking world records became a passion for Jack, and he vowed to break a new one every year for the rest of his life. At 104, he made history again as the oldest person to get their first tattoo. This relentless pursuit of new challenges continued at 105 when he became the oldest person to ride a rollercoaster, proving that age was just a number for him.

Inspiring Lives Through Record-Breaking
But Jack’s most daring feat came at the age of 106 when he broke the zip line world record. He fearlessly zipped along a 400-meter wire, suspended 60 meters above the ground, all in the name of raising money for the Stroke Association. This incredible act of charity was a tradition for Jack on his birthdays, and it brought him immense joy.
Jack Reynolds was not just a record-breaker; he was an inspiration. His zest for life and willingness to embrace new adventures defied stereotypes about aging. Sadly, Jack passed away at the remarkable age of 108, just 19 days into his 108th year.
Despite his passing, his legacy lives on. In February 2021, a pathway in Hollywood was named “Jack Reynolds Way” in his memory, and the signpost was officially unveiled on what would have been his 109th birthday.
