Dean & Peeler Meatworks, LLC of Poth, TX, is voluntarily recalling about 1,835 lbs of fresh ground beef products due to E. coli contamination. coli
After the ground beef product was handed over to a third-party laboratory for microbiological examination, the sample tested presumptively positive for E. O157:H7 coli.
On August 22, 2023, the fresh ground beef items were manufactured.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is concerned that some goods may be in restaurant fridge or freezers.
These items were delivered to restaurants in the San Antonio, TX region.
Recalled Ground Beef Products
- 1-pound, 5-pound, and 10-pound weights are available. vacuum-sealed plastic bags with the label “Peeler Farms WAGYU BEEF GROUND BEEF” and lot code 17836.
- 5-lb. sealed under vacuum plastic containers labeled “R-C RANCH TEXAS CRAFT MEATS WAGYU RC13610 STEAKHOUSE BLEND – GROUND BEEF 5 lb”
- 8-oz. sealed under vacuum plastic containers with the label “R-C RANCH TEXAS CRAFT MEATS WAGYU RC13603 – GROUND BEEF PATTIES 8 oz” and lot code 17816.
The recalled products have the establishment number “EST.” “51283” inside the USDA inspection mark.
There have been no verified reports of adverse reactions to these goods as of the publishing of this recall.

Signs and Symptoms of E.Coli
Anyone who has consumed any of the implicated goods and developed E. coli infection should seek medical assistance and inform their doctor of their potential food poisoning.
To diagnose the infections, which might mimic other ailments, specific testing is required.
The signs and symptoms of E. coli infections differ from person to person, but they frequently cause severe stomach cramps and bloody diarrhea.
Some patients may also be feverish. The majority of patients recover in five to seven days. Based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), others may develop severe or fatal complications and symptoms.
