Black Leaders Speak Out and Protested Amid Education
Democrats and Black leaders from all throughout the country have condemned the criteria heavily, claiming that they distort history.
Vice President Harris claimed in a speech given last month that the standards are indoctrinating kids with misinformation.
According to her, some of the worst instances of stripping people of humanity have occurred as a result of slavery. In light of that, how is it possible for anyone to imply that being subjected to this degree of dehumanization in the middle of these horrors had any advantages?
From a predominantly Black Miami area, about 50 people marched a mile to the school board meeting, where they assembled and spoke.
Representative Justin Pearson (D) of Tennessee, who was booted from the state House in April for taking part in a gun control demonstration, spoke at the event. This month, he won a special election for his seat after being reinstated.

The Ongoing Struggle for a Better America
According to Pearson, Black people have always worked to make America what it should be, and the country has always resisted becoming what it should be. We have consistently spoken up for the America that is conceivable to us. That has not yet arrived.
The Black history education standards, which were passed last month, call for lessons on race to be presented objectively and without attempting to convert kids to a specific viewpoint or indoctrinate them.
The Republican candidate for president, Ron DeSantis of Florida, has incorporated the concept into his plan to combat wokeness. He has defended the law, claiming that Harris and others misunderstood it.
