Economic Approval Challenges for Joe Biden Amid Push for ‘Bidenomics’ Promotion

Voters are finding it challenging to believe that President Joe Biden is managing the economy successfully. Biden and his team have promoted “Bidenomics” over the past few weeks as a slogan to describe his economic aims and a nod to President Ronald Reagan’s Reaganomics.

However, Biden is insistent about a bottom-up strategy rather than supporting a trickle-down system. This, in his opinion, entails rebuilding the economy “from the middle out and from the bottom up.

Biden Faces Mixed Public Perception

A recent Associated Press-NORC poll indicates that the public isn’t understanding this, though. Adults only expressed approval for Biden’s management of the economy in 36% of cases.

The percentage is lower than the 42% who are satisfied with Biden’s overall performance. Despite the administration’s efforts to portray economic progress, these figures do not differ much from where they were in prior months.

Democrats are significantly more likely to approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, with a much higher approval rating of 65%.

However, this falls short of the 76% who are generally pleased with the way he has handled his job. The unemployment rate is at 3.5% under Biden.

Voters are finding it challenging to believe that President Joe Biden is managing the economy successfully. Biden and his team have promoted “Bidenomics” over the past few weeks as a slogan to describe his economic aims and a nod to President Ronald Reagan’s Reaganomics.

However, the general people continue to perceive that the economy is not doing well. This is crucial since voters have selected the economy as the most significant issue in the 2024 election.

The Biden campaign has begun criticizing Republican front-runner for the nomination, former President Donald Trump, over a failed manufacturing deal in Wisconsin that failed to create the promised 13,000 jobs in an effort to persuade voters that Biden can and will handle the economy better than Trump.

Democrats in the crucial state are focusing on Foxconn’s dramatic scale back in Wisconsin. The failings of the Trump-Walker era stand in stark contrast to the job growth and historically low unemployment rates for our state that have been achieved throughout the administrations of Biden-Harris and [Gov. Tony] Evers [D-WI].
