Cheng’s alleged offenses came to light when authorities stated that he sexually abused unconscious patients and engaged in drugging and raping women, often filming these horrifying acts.  

The Queens District Attorney’s Office accused Cheng of assaulting women at the Flushing location of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he was employed. This adds a disconcerting layer to the case, as NewYork-Presbyterian is renowned for its high-quality healthcare services.

The extent of Cheng’s purported offenses is profoundly unsettling. The allegations encompass not just his workplace but also extend to his residence in Astoria, hotel rooms in diverse places, and even abroad in Thailand. The allegations include instances of Cheng assaulting women he met on dating sites and incidents occurring within a hospital setting, emphasizing the deeply unsettling breach of trust and authority.
