Racist Threats Target Fulton County D.A. Amid Trump Charging Decision

Fulton County commissioners received a warning from district attorney Fani Willis, asking them to exercise caution in the upcoming month.

This statement is being made as her agency ramps up its 2 1/2 year investigation into alleged attempts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to scuttle President Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia in the 2020 presidential election.

Security Boost at County Courthouse Amid Inquiry

The Fulton County solicitor general responded to the warning by expressing his strong dissatisfaction and calling the message repugnant.

However, the investigation team in his office is assiduously modifying its procedures to conform to those of other countywide law enforcement partners.

Willis has mandated an increase in security measures around the county courthouse to address potential security concerns. She stated that she was prepared to move on with the inquiry, which is focused on the alleged attempts to rig Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results.

In a report earlier this year, the grand jury unanimously concluded that there had been no significant fraud that might have caused the Georgia election to be thrown out.

Today is the first day of a three-week period that Willis has suggested as a potential window for determining whether to file charges against Donald Trump, members of his administration, allies, or people referred to as fake electors who were connected to the effort to challenge Georgia’s presidential election results.
