Affordable Connectivity Program: Application Approval Time Frame

The US Federal Government created the $14 billion Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) with the long-term goal of assisting low-income households in obtaining affordable internet services, allowing them to maintain connections to vital resources like work, school, and healthcare.

A monthly credit of up to $30 is available to qualifying households as part of this program to help with internet service costs.

Affordable Connectivity Program Eligibility with NLAD

Individuals must fulfill specified requirements established by the program to be eligible for the ACP. 

Participation in a number of aid initiatives, such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or Lifeline, is one method to become eligible.

Families can also apply for the program if their income is equal to or less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The National Verifier, where anyone may check their qualifying status, makes determining eligibility simple.

The National Lifeline Accountability Database (NLAD) can be accessed by those who want a rapid answer to their eligibility question. 

First, one must earn 200 percent or less of the federal poverty level, with state and household size-dependent income limits.

The ACP is also open to people who are enrolled in various assistance programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline.

Benefits of School Lunch Program

Last but not least, people who have been awarded a Federal Pell Grant in the most recent award year are also qualified for the program.

The ACP application submitted online might be approved right away. However, in situations when automatic eligibility confirmation is not possible, further documents can be needed for evaluation.
