Elon Musk: xAI Set To Probe The Universe And Collaborate With Twitter And Tesla

Elon Musk stated on Friday that xAI, his new artificial intelligence business, will be founded with the goal of “understanding the universe.”

The billionaire presented his idea for xAI for the first time during a 90-minute long, somewhat rambling Twitter Spaces audio chat. He also veered into discussions of the Earth’s evolution and the frailty of civilization.

Elon Musk Envisions Collaboration With Twitter And Tesla

Musk quipped that xAI’s mission statement would be “what the hell is really going on?” in an effort to increase our understanding of the universe.

Musk founded xAI on Wednesday after claiming that firms like OpenAI and Google were creating the technology without taking human health hazards into account.

Requests for comment from OpenAI and Google were not answered. In contrast to Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI, he said that xAI will work to create a “good AGI.”

Artificial general intelligence, or AGI, is an AI that has the ability to solve problems similarly to a human.

Musk said xAI would collaborate closely with his other firms, Twitter and Tesla (TSLA.O), during the Spaces session, which started late because Twitter wanted to “tweak the algorithm” to push the chat to more users.

The business will train its AI models using public tweets, and it may possibly collaborate with Tesla on AI software.

Elon Musk stated on Friday that xAI, his new artificial intelligence business, will be founded with the goal of “understanding the universe.”

According to Musk, such a partnership would be to their “mutual benefit” and might hasten Tesla’s development of self-driving technology.

Elon Musk also made comments about xAI, but he also leveled a big accusation, saying that all AI firms use Twitter data to train their models, which he considered to be unethical.

Musk has been diligent in voicing his concerns to significant parties as an advocate for AI laws.

He has actively sought out meetings with White House representatives to underscore the urgent need for AI legislation, highlighting how important it is to implement suitable rules and regulations.
