Canadian Wildfires: Canada’s Response To The Devastating Infernos

In the past month, wildfires in Canada have impacted the air quality in cities like Chicago, New York City, and Washington, DC. Hundreds of fires are still burning across the nation.

There are 588 active wildfires in Canada, 285 of which are deemed to be out of control, according to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center.

Canada’s Strategies To Handle The Wildfires

The provinces of Ontario and Quebec, which border states as far west as Minnesota and as far east as Maine, are home to a combined 181 of the fires.

Since there is a strong demand for resources to combat the fire, the center has given the current level of national preparation a five, the highest possible rating.

The flames have been made worse by the current conditions, which include scorching temperatures and typically dry weather.

The Canadian government gave citizens of Quebec assurances that aid was being delivered to areas hit by the multiple wildfires in the middle of June.

All levels of government are cooperating to ensure the safety of Quebecers and their communities during this trying period.

It’s all hands on deck when it comes to managing the fires as the effects of the wildfires are still being felt across the nation.

I want to thank all first responders and personnel of the Canadian Armed Forces once again for their dedication to helping those in need.
