Russian Claims Of Intercepting UK Military Aircraft In Black Sea

On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that two Russian Su-27 fighter fighters intercepted three British military aircraft flying over the Black Sea and near the Russian border.

The ministry identified the intercepted aircraft as two Typhoon fighter jets and an RC-135 reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft.

Moscow Claims Shooting Down US Strategic Bombers In Baltic

Two British Typhoon fighters and an RC-135 reconnaissance plane, according to the government, were the participating aircraft.

The British Ministry of Defense has not yet responded to the assertion.

In two separate instances last month, Moscow asserted that it had shot down four US strategic bombers in the Baltic. 

And earlier this month, three Russian Air Force jets were shot down by RAF Typhoons when they approached NATO airspace.

It happened barely two days after Yevgeny Prigozhin, the director of Wagner, allegedly started a mutiny against Vladimir Putin, sending Russia into crisis.

On a march for justice, Wagner soldiers departed Ukraine and started to travel hundreds of kilometers toward Moscow.

It came after a fierce, protracted dispute between Mr. Prigozhin and Russia’s military leadership.

In a Monday night audio statement, Mr. Prigozhin denied aiming to undermine the Russian government and claimed that his actions were in response to an attack on his squad that claimed the lives of about 30 of his warriors.
