Guaranteed Income Program First Payment To Moms On June 30
Program recipients get their payments on the cards at the beginning of each month.
The program is designed to assist moms in the city, which has a population of over 100,000.
While payments for this program are generally made on the first of the month, when a month begins on a Saturday or Sunday, the payment will instead be made on the preceding Friday.
Because of this, the program will issue its first payment on June 30 even though it begins in July, the city’s director of community and economic development told the Washington Examiner.
The program will provide participants with a total of 12 payments over the course of a full year. The last payment will be made on May 31, 2024, a Friday.
The application window for this program opened on March 27 and closed on April 15 after just over three weeks of availability.
By April 26, the recipients of this guaranteed income program had been chosen.
