Cars.com compiles data from research on American auto manufacturing every year and publishes comprehensive results.

As evidence of America’s insatiable thirst for these would-be wagons, 61% of the top 100 vehicles are crossovers or SUVs. In a customer survey conducted by Cars.com, it was shown that nearly half of all Americans intending to purchase a vehicle prefer SUVs.

Sedans are second, however, they only make up 19% of the list. No full-size American trucks made the top 10, while pickup trucks add 16% to the overall weight.

The only truck to genuinely enter the 10% is the Honda Ridgeline, which is closely followed by the Toyota Tundra a few positions below.

Two sports cars, the Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Corvette, come last with 2% each. Two minivans are eventually available: the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.
Despite the fact that the study’s list of manufacturers is termed the American-Made Index, they are all over the world.

Roughly 25% of customers think that a company must have its headquarters in the US in order to significantly to the US economy.
