CalFresh Assistance Varies Based On Household Size
A household’s size affects how much CalFresh assistance it gets. The maximum allowance for a single person will be $281 per month as of October 1, 2022.

It should be noted that beginning February 1, 2011, household resources, such as bank accounts and cash on hand, are not taken into account when determining eligibility.

The resource limits are $2,750, or $4,250 if there is a member of the household who is elderly or disabled.
A household’s gross monthly income (before deductions) cannot be more than 200 percent of the Federal poverty level in order to be eligible for CalFresh assistance.

A household’s net monthly income is also limited to a maximum of 100 percent of the Federal poverty level.
