In order to increase President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign funds, US First Lady Jill Biden started a fundraising tour on Monday.
She told a wealthy Manhattan audience of about 50 individuals that her husband knows how to get things done.
First Lady Jill Biden Begins Nationwide Fundraising
Barry Ginsburg and his wife Merle, whose wealth derives from real estate and other endeavors, held the celebration at their Upper East Side residence.
In order to raise hundreds of millions from the wealthy in the coming months for what could be the most expensive US election in history, Jill Biden will be a significant spokesperson for her husband on the campaign road, especially at crucial events.
The first lady claimed that when she visited the president before starting the fundraising effort, the president—who underwent a root canal on Monday—asked his supporters to remain optimistic.
President Biden raised more than $1 billion in 2020, but donors have expressed concerns about whether the 80-year-old should relinquish control to someone younger.

Biden Campaign Prepares for California and Illinois Donor Events
The campaign, which became official on April 25, intends to increase fundraising activities. Beginning the next week, President Biden is anticipated to host his own gatherings in California and Illinois with significant donors.
Advisors believe that Biden’s substantial financial resources will set him apart from the Republican Party, which is choosing its nominee from a crowded field that includes front-runner Donald Trump, the former president whom Biden beat in 2020.
Biden staffers are closely monitoring June 30, the date that the fundraising books for the quarter close.
In mid-July, campaigns will release these fundraising totals, and the amount will serve as a gauge of how successful Biden’s fundraising efforts have been.
His campaign has only hosted a small number of events thus far, mostly for volunteers and donors.
According to a source familiar with the sums, Biden raised more than $3 million from two fundraising events he held in New York last month.
