According to US sources, the $300 million military aid package for Ukraine that will likely be unveiled this week would include more drone missiles.
The drone ammunition follows further unmanned aircraft attacks that had Moscow as their objective.
US authorities have consistently stated that Ukraine has committed not to use any American-provided weapons for strikes on Russian soil, and there has been no indication that US-made drones or ammunition were used in the latest attacks on Moscow.
US provides Ukraine with $300 million in aid
The Kremlin claimed responsibility for the strike on Tuesday, but Ukrainian officials made no formal response.
Yet, the new aid initiative comes at a contentious time in the war.
The most recent drone attack on Moscow comes after Russia took control of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine following a nine-month conflict that claimed tens of thousands of lives.
Moreover, Ukraine is displaying indications that its anticipated spring counteroffensive may already be in progress.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, three other drones’ electronics were disrupted, leading them to deviate from their intended trajectory, and five drones were shot down in Moscow.

Drone strikes wouldn’t have an impact on the humanitarian relief supplies
The drone strikes, according to a US defense official, won’t have an impact on the weapons aid packages the US is giving Ukraine, including drone ammo.
Officially, the US has pledged to assist Ukraine in its efforts to protect itself, and Ukraine has pledged to refrain from utilizing the equipment inside Russia, thus the assistance will probably remain unchanged.
