Winning Strategy: DeSantis 2024 Donors Mobilize at Miami Four Seasons, Raising Impressive $8 Million

A three-day fundraising extravaganza called Ron-O-Rama at the Four Seasons helped the 2024 campaign for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis generate more than $8 million in just one day.

More than $8.2 million was raised in 24 hours as a result of the fundraising blitz, according to figures that were initially provided to the New York Times and then confirmed by the campaign.

The amount is higher than the $6.3 million that President Joe Biden raised in his first day of 2019.

The donor gathering got underway on Wednesday when attendees started dialing for money and collecting free goodies including baseball caps, pencils, and stress relievers.

According to The Messenger, aides argued that DeSantis might win the GOP nomination in 2024 by displaying polling data showing him winning in states with early voting and portraying him as more conservative than Trump.

Politico published the Ron-O-Rama moniker first, which Insider confirmed, and they also reported on the polling data.

DeSantis visited to welcome the group in the early afternoon and is anticipated to return this evening during a reception, according to the Miami Herald.

Within an hour of the campaign’s Wednesday Twitter launch, it had amassed its first $1 million in donations; however, technical difficulties delayed DeSantis’ public announcement for about 30 minutes.

A three-day fundraising extravaganza called Ron-O-Rama at the Four Seasons helped the 2024 campaign for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis generate more than $8 million in just one day.

Despite the fact that former President Donald Trump is still the overwhelming frontrunner and that there are five other candidates vying for the nomination, DeSantis, 44, who pledged to “lead our great American resurgence,” has officially entered the contest.

According to a participant, the Wednesday Twitter audio-only event at the Four Seasons in Miami’s Brickell business sector was aired over loudspeakers to the fundraisers during a reception in one of the hotel’s ballrooms.

In addition to serving guests cheese, chicken, shrimp, and scallop skewers, the event featured an open bar.

The hotel’s rooms with views of Biscayne Bay have a nightly rate of $745.

DeSantis engaged in 12 interviews with conservative radio, TV, and podcast hosts throughout the day on Thursday, including the Glenn Beck Program and Dana Loesch. He also authorized the passage of various laws.

One of them was a $2.7 billion tax cut that eliminated Florida’s 6% sales tax on a variety of commodities, including a permanent tax break for infant necessities and a temporary one for emergency preparedness supplies.
