According to the CalFresh website, if you disagree with the state’s decision to deny your application, discontinue your case, or reduce your CalFresh benefits, you have the option to appeal the decision.
Before submitting an online appeal on the CalFresh website, they recommend contacting the county office in question to see if the issue can be resolved directly, as that would be a much quicker and simpler solution than waiting for an online appeal to be processed.

How Long Will It Take?
If CalFresh has sent a notice of denial stating that a household will no longer receive benefits, the applicant has until the 60th day to provide the county with any necessary information.
If, within 60 days of receiving a notice of denial, the applicant provides the necessary evidence, the application should be reopened without the need for a new one. That would be much speedier than starting from scratch.
