Tesla Cyberquad Electric ATV: Ongoing Development Indicated by Trademark Filing

The recent inclusion of Tesla Cyberquad’s electric ATV in a trademark filing indicates that the project is still under development.

Four years ago, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, unveiled the Cyberquad, while the highly anticipated Cybertruck captured the attention in 2019.

Tesla Expands its Lineup with Cyberquad for Kids

In 2019, in conjunction with the launch of the long-delayed Cybertruck electric pickup truck, the well-known maker of electric vehicles reportedly gave consumers their first look at the Cyberquad ATV.

The all-electric automaker marketed the Cyberquad as a comprehensive electric all-terrain vehicle, designed for adults seeking off-road adventures. Initially, it was unclear whether Tesla intended to sell the electric ATV. However, Elon Musk later confirmed that it would be available to customers who purchase the Cybertruck.

Over the years, there has been increasing anticipation surrounding the release of the Cyberquad. In 2021, Tesla released a different version of the ATV, specifically targeting children, appropriately named Cyberquad for Kids.

Unfortunately, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled the Cyberquad ATV for Kids due to safety standard violations in late 2022. The recall aimed to prevent further injuries and reduce the crash risks associated with the vehicle for young riders.

The lengthy delay in the release of the ATV led some to speculate that Tesla had abandoned the full-fledged Cyberquad, as the company remained silent on its development.

However, nearly four years after the Cyberquad initially captured attention, the highly anticipated electric ATV recently resurfaced in a trademark filing by the American automaker.

This filing suggests that Tesla has renewed its commitment to the project, igniting excitement among ATV enthusiasts. According to Electrek, Tesla has filed a new trademark application for the name Cyberquad, indicating its potential release alongside the Cybertruck.

However, since four years have passed since its initial unveiling, and the previous trademark has already expired. Consequently, the EV manufacturer has requested an extension for the trademark use, as it is likely that the previous filing lapsed last year.

With Tesla’s recent request for a trademark use extension, it appears that the company, led by Elon Musk, is still actively pursuing the development of the highly anticipated ATV.

While specific details regarding the Cyberquad’s specifications and release date remain undisclosed, the trademark filing suggests that an official unveiling could be imminent.
