A significant member of Donald Trump’s legal team, Timothy Parlatore, has quit the Mar-a-Lago classified papers investigation defense team.
On Tuesday, the close associates of Donald Trump confirmed the resignation of Timothy Parlatore. This significant departure aligns with the apparent completion of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the potential mishandling of classified materials.
Parlatore Informs Trump Of Departure
In a formal statement, Parlatore expressed his sincere appreciation for the opportunity to work on complex legal issues. The attorney emphasized that his decision to leave is personal and should not be interpreted as having any connection to the ongoing case.
Furthermore, Parlatore disclosed that he had personally discussed his departure with Donald Trump.
Throughout the ongoing inquiry led by special counsel Jack Smith from the Department of Justice, Timothy Parlatore played a critical role in defending Donald Trump. The investigation primarily focuses on the discovery of multiple sensitive documents at Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, as well as any potential obstructive actions.

Parlatore’s Testimony Exposes Search For Classified Materials
In recent months, various associates of Donald Trump have testified before a grand jury. In March, federal prosecutors successfully waived attorney-client privilege and questioned another one of Trump’s lawyers, M. Evan Corcoran, before the grand jury, according to a report from the LA Times.
During his testimony in December, Timothy Parlatore willingly shared significant information about the efforts to locate classified materials in response to government requests.
In a letter addressed to Chairman Mike Turner of the House Intelligence Committee, Timothy Parlatore urged the US Justice Department to step back and allow the intelligence community to investigate the confidential documents found in Trump’s possession.
The sudden resignation of this prominent lawyer coincides with multiple federal and local investigations against Donald Trump.
Last month in Manhattan, the former President was charged with making hush money payments.
Furthermore, the district attorney for Fulton County is currently conducting an investigation into Trump’s attempts to invalidate the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. Jack Smith is also examining Donald Trump’s actions on January 6 and his efforts to manipulate the outcome of the 2020 election.
