Family Dollar issues recall of multiple Advil products due to quality concerns

Customers who purchased the recalled Advil products are being urged by Family Dollar to return the items promptly.

The recall of select Advil products by Family Dollar was prompted by the improper storage of these items outside the required temperature range between June 2022 and March 2023.

Advil Products

Tablets, caplets, and liquid gels are included in the recall:

  • 100 tablets of 200 mg.
  • 50-count tablet 
  • 6 packs of  tablets 
  • 24-count 200mg caplet
  • dual action caplet 36 count
  • 40-count Liqui-gels
  • 20 Liqui-gels Minis

Between June 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023, the drug was delivered to pharmacies. 

According to Family Dollar, retailers were notified to verify their stock and remove any recalled medication off their shelves. 

Family Dollar customers who purchased the recalled item may return it without a receipt.

Though Family Dollar did not give a list of locations where the now-recalled products were sold, it did declare that it had notified the affected stores and asked workers to immediately stop selling and remove any involved products from shelves. 

On the FDA website, customers can find the specific batch and SKU numbers of recalled products.

Organic Tahini Recalled Over Salmonella

Microbial contamination has resulted in the recall of at-home COVID-19 tests.

SD Biosensor, Inc. now requested that consumers in the United States avoid using and discard particular Pilot COVID-19 At-Home Tests due to the discovery of potentially hazardous bacteria in the tube with liquid inside (pouch 2 of the kits).

  • Organic tahini has been recalled owing to salmonella contamination.

Rushdi Food Industries, an Israeli company, is recalling their Mighty Sesame 10.9 Oz Organic Tahini Squeezable with an expiration date of 9/25/23 due to probable Salmonella contamination. Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes deadly illnesses in young children, the elderly, and others with compromised immune systems.
