Potential competitors for the presidency see an opportunity to strike as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis intensifies his battle against the largest private company in his state.

Ron DeSantis Challenges Disney in Florida for Fairness

This week, former president Donald J. Trump criticized the governor’s initiatives and claimed they were a political stunt, adding that Mr. DeSantis was being outplayed by the organization.

After thunderous applause from the audience of more than 500 people, DeSantis declared, “In Florida, we’ve made sure that gender ideology has no place in our K through 12 schools.”

“Teaching children arithmetic, Language, and fundamentals are important. Avoid educating kids about untrue information that might be extremely destructive to them.”

The Reedy Creek Improvement District offered Disney unheard-of control over the area where its theme park and resorts are constructed, so DeSantis made it a top goal during the past year to restructure it.

In order to ensure that Disney does not receive preferential treatment over other businesses in the state.

The governor formed a new five-person board for the newly titled Central Florida Tourist Oversight District.

As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fights his state’s largest private enterprise, presidential candidates see an opening.

Wednesday, the board was briefed by the investigators, who said that Disney’s agreements with the previous board to preserve its district’s special status were invalid because they did not adhere to Florida law for the requisite notification time.

DeSantis spoke to one of his largest audiences to date at a church in the northwest of the early primary contest state as his final visit on a busy day in South Carolina.

Approximately 500 people, some standing and others sitting, were able to fit in the room where DeSantis spoke, but a second overflow room was quickly set up so that an additional 500+ guests could hear from the governor before his address.

Others listened intently from the church’s atrium outside as the potential 2024 candidate spoke.

Over 1,500 individuals passed through the security checkpoint for the event.
