A Pennsylvania high school track and field coach is being accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with a student for more than a year.
Northhampton District Attorney Terrance Houck stated that Hannah Marth, 26, was a teacher and athletics coach in the Easton Area School District while she was with a 17-year-old student-athlete from May 2021 to October 2022.
Pennsylvania Coach’s Alleged Sexual Assault
A statement from Houck read A trusting connection between a student-athlete, an athlete’s guardian, and a coach might be a fragile one.
A coach who abuses his or her position shows blatant indifference to the well-being of his or her charges and, above all else, to the law. This defendant violated that confidence when she allegedly committed this offense against the victim.
School Superintendent David Piperato emailed a statement to Fox News Digital on Friday regarding Marth’s arrest and felony charges of sexual assault in an institution and sexual assault by an athletics official.

Coach Marth is No Longer Faculty On District Website
Piperato stated, “As a matter of policy, the school system does not comment on current criminal matters or personnel matters,” although he did not specify if Marth is still employed by the district or on leave.
However, the school district intends to completely cooperate with the authorities in this matter and will take all measures necessary to ensure the safety of our students.”
As of Friday morning, Marth is no longer listed on the district’s website as a member of the faculty.
Javelin coach Marth allegedly initiated the relationship with her 17-year-old student on May 22, 2021, at 2 a.m., when she sent her an invitation to her house for sexual activity.
She admitted to having a romantic relationship, according to the District Attorney’s Office, with the victim.
District Attorney’s Office: The victim told investigators they were in a relationship that ended in October 2022.
Marth was arraigned on Thursday afternoon and released after posting a $75,000 surety.
