Lopez stated that two separate students have claimed that Figueroa sexually touched them.
Lopez also stated that a number of additional 15- to 18-year-old female victims have come forward. These are considered to be juveniles.
According to his allegations, the coach “made vulgar sexual comments about the appearance of several students and how their bodies arouse him sexually.”
He was a sexual predator who preyed on vulnerable students in our schools through a combination of bullying, intimidation, and abuse of authority. He has also used his authority inappropriately. We owe a debt of gratitude to the brave student who came forward and exposed this man as the vile monster that he is.” These were Lopez’s words about Figueroa.
