The distribution of Social Security benefits is scheduled for the month of April 2023.
Depending on your date of birth, Social Security payments are issued on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of each month, according to the same monthly schedule.
Social Security Payment In April
When should you anticipate receiving your Social Security benefit check in April 2023?
- The payout for those whose birthdays fall between the first and tenth of the month will be given out on Wednesday, April 12.
- Your money will be given out on Wednesday, April 19, if your birthday falls between April 11 and April 20.
Your reward will be sent out on Wednesday, April 26 if your birth date falls between January 21 and December 31.
Social Security will be paid out on April 3rd if you started receiving it before May 1997, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) was paid out on March 31st if you are receiving both. If the first month begins on the weekend, SSI may be paid the month prior.
The Social Security Administration advises waiting three extra postal days before contacting Social Security if you don’t receive your payment on the anticipated date.
Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, you can call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213. The SSA’s TTY line can be reached by those who are hard of hearing or deaf at 1-800-325-0778.
According to the SSA, “average indexed monthly earnings”—35 years of an employee’s indexed earnings—are used to determine how much money each beneficiary receives. When a worker reaches age 62, they are entitled to retirement benefits.
Nevertheless, you won’t start receiving your entire pension until you’ve reached full retirement age. If you wait until age 70 to start receiving benefits, you can get the maximum amount.

Early Payment On March 31
Also, due to April 1 falling on a Saturday this year, the second payment, worth $914 for individual filers, will be delivered on Friday, March 31.
It will replace April’s monthly payment. On March 1, the initial payment was made to qualified beneficiaries.
Each grantee should get a total of $1,828 in March because there are two disbursements. Other groups are also eligible for the double payment, such as eligible couples who will receive two payments totaling $1,371 in March and essential family members who reside with SSI recipients and take care of them. Two $458 checks will be issued to necessary individuals.
