Murder mystery: Police recognized the woman killed and burnt 30 years ago

Thirty-one years after her death, US authorities have named the woman who they believe was killed with a hammer, strangled, and set afire.

Christine Belusko from Clifton, New Jersey, according to the authorities, was the woman killed in 1991.

Police Identify Dead Woman For 30 Years

According to Staten Island District Attorney Michael McMahon, forensic genealogy methods were employed by his office, the New York Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to identify Ms. Belusko and her daughter Christa Nicola.

The woman, now known as Christine Belusko, was hit with a hammer more than a dozen times before being set on fire and being discovered dead in 1991, according to Richmond County District Attorney Michael McMahon, who made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday.

The woman was a killer in the para-hunting department. At the time of her passing, Belusko resided in Morris County, New Jersey.

Although she had a scorpion tattoo as her primary distinguishing feature, officials were unable to definitively identify her until they had access to her DNA and were able to determine her ancestry.

31 years after her death, US authorities have named the lady who they believe was assaulted with a hammer, strangled, and set afire.

The woman had a 2-year-old daughter at the time of her death, which is arguably more significant than the fact that police have now found and questioned her brother.

A bystander in Staten Island discovered Ms. Belusko tied and burned on September 20, 1991.

A 13-inch hammer with the name ‘Loyd L’ engraved on it was discovered under her body and had struck her 17 times on the back of the skull.

The scene also contained two gold chains, a ring watch, some coins, and a pack of smokes, but authorities have not yet been able to apprehend her killer.

Christa Nicole is the name of that daughter, who would now be 34 years old, and authorities are seeking her.

Christa, who would have been two years old at the time of her mother’s passing, has not been located, according to investigators.
