Arizona authorities discover body burning in a dumpster

A body was discovered burning in a dumpster in a major homeless encampment known as The Zone located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

The unnamed male body was discovered at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and a homicide investigation is underway, according to the police.

Unidentified Remains Found Burning in Arizona

The discovery was made at Madison Street and 11th Avenue. It is in close proximity to a Phoenix police station and state and federal courts. In downtown Phoenix, “The Zone” extends roughly from Jefferson to Jackson streets and from 9th to 15th avenues, just blocks from the Arizona State Capitol.

David Hibbard, an employee of neighboring Audio Visions, said as much: “This is becoming increasingly absurd.” This occurrence is rising in frequency.

Hibbard said that on his way to work, he observed police cordoning off the crossroads adjacent to his place of employment. Authorities also collected surveillance footage from his place of employment.

Hibbard added, “They took our hard drive. We have a variety of cameras monitoring this location, so we purchased two camera systems and gave them to them so they can plainly see what’s going on.”

“I believe I observed two men with an item in a shopping basket approach the nearby garbage bin and drop the man inside. He did not set him on fire, but I did not watch the entire video,” Hibbard said.

A body was discovered burning in a dumpster in a major homeless encampment known as “The Zone” located in downtown Phoenix.

Meanwhile, a fetus was found burned in the middle of the street in “The Zone” similar to this incident.

After years with little solutions, a group of Phoenix residents and business owners filed a lawsuit in August to force the city to take action against the encampment they claim is harming their area.

Joseph Faillace told the radio station, Since they have not assisted us, we are suing the city. We are not requesting financial assistance; we simply want our community back. “We want to be like everyone else; we want to operate a business free of urination and defecation.”
