AI technology creates new treatment for cancer patient within 30 days; How will it work?

In just 30 days, artificial intelligence (AI) technology was able to create a treatment for an aggressive form of cancer and show that it can use medical records to forecast a patient’s chance of survival.

Using the AI drug discovery platform Pharma, researchers from the University of Toronto collaborated with Insilico Medical to create a potential therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

By only synthesizing seven chemicals and 30 days following target selection, the accomplishment was completed.

Although any possible medicine would still need to go through clinical trials, researchers found a more powerful hit molecule in a second round of AI-powered compound production.
