China has amassed a sizable arsenal of carrier killers, or hypersonic weapons, with the intention of weakening the US Navy and hitting American installations in the Pacific.
By firing two hypersonic nuclear missiles that encircled the globe and defied the rules of physics, Beijing has already displayed its military power.
China Gathers Missile Attacks Info
US officials worry that, in the event of war, China could deploy hypersonic missiles to destroy American jets and bases in Japan or Guam as tensions over Taiwan continue to rise between Washington and Beijing.
And now, analysts are warning that China is gathering information for sudden missile attacks by firing green lasers from satellites. Once believed to be a NASA satellite, the Daqi-1, a Chinese satellite that monitors air pollution, was responsible for the lasers seen over Hawaii.
The satellite, according to Rick Fisher of the International Assessment and Strategy Center, is a textbook illustration of Chinese dual use of civilian technology that also supports military objectives.
According to him, China’s laser activity could open the door for a surprise missile attack on Hickham, a combined US Navy and Air Force installation, in the pattern of Pearl Harbor.
Fisher said that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army could target other US bases from California to Japan.
The PLA will probably strike American facilities in Japan, South Korea, Alaska, and California in a battle over Taiwan, he added, adding that there is a growing Chinese danger to Hawaii.

Green Lights Over Hawaii
First thought to be a NASA spacecraft, the flashing green lights over Hawaii were subsequently identified as coming from the Chinese Daqi-1 pollution monitoring satellite.
Why Beijing would want to know about Hawaii’s air quality or atmospheric conditions has been questioned.
Analysts have cautioned that China may actually be gathering information about American military installations in anticipation of a surprise attack should the two nations find themselves on the verge of or actually engaged in war.
The International Assessment and Strategy Centre’s Rick Fisher, a China military analyst, claimed that the lasers were an obvious example of Chinese dual usage”of civilian technology for military reasons.
