A stimulus internet credit or the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is one of the most cutting-edge welfare programs in the United States.
It attempts to assist individuals in accessing vital Internet services they may not ordinarily be able to use. Even in 2023, several households in developed nations still cannot afford a dependable internet connection at home.
What Is Affordable Connectivity Program?
The ACP seeks to ensure that individuals have access to broadband for jobs, studies, healthcare, and other purposes.
It can provide a discount of up to thirty dollars per month on internet services and up to seventy-five dollars per month on television services for homes on eligible tribal territories.
In addition, eligible households can receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from partner providers provided they contribute between $10 and $50 toward the purchase price.
ACP customers can only use their one-time device benefit on a device that was provided by the same internet service provider from whom they receive ACP-discounted internet access.

Who Qualifies For Stimulus Internet Credit?
Customers who qualify for ACP must pay the same installation fee as those who do not qualify. ACP participants are required to pay the same installation charge as those who are not eligible for the program.
The ACP benefit may only be used for recurring broadband fees, not the one-time cost of establishing broadband at the residence in question.
A household qualifies for the Affordable Connectivity Program if its income is equal to or less than 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
If a household is eligible for a variety of different benefits, it may also be eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
