Chelsea Eats program participants in Chelsea, Massachusetts, only have to wait 13 days before receiving their first stimulus check of up to $400.
The program would provide 738 households with grants ranging from $200 to $400 to assist them with purchasing food and paying their utility bills.
Who Can Claim A $400 Stimulus Check?
These funds will be distributed to beneficiaries via debit cards, with the city intending to distribute these cards in early March and have the cards activated by March 15, according to a Chelsea city official.
A spokesperson stated “The city notified recipients directly via correspondence. All recipients need to come in person to pick up their card on their assigned day,”
Applicants must be Chelsea residents with a household income that is 30% less than the local median to be considered for this program. This income level would be $29,450 for a home of one, and $33,650 for a household of two, with the income ceiling increasing slightly for each additional person in a household.

When To Receive Payment?
This payment for March is the first of three from this program that beneficiaries will receive. The second and third installments will be distributed in April and May, respectively.
The exact amount received from this payment will be determined by the recipient’s household size. A household of one will receive $200, a household of two will receive $300, and any household of three or more would receive $400.
