Three police officers were shot while executing a warrant in Kansas City, Missouri, and are currently hospitalized.
Chief Stacey Graves of the Kansas City Police Department stated that the incident occurred soon after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while three officers from the city’s tactical response team executed a search warrant.

Graves stated that when the cops knocked and announced their presence, shooting erupted from within the residence, and the officers fired back.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced Wednesday afternoon that a man was discovered dead inside a residence following a standoff lasting several hours. A woman was also discovered alive and uninjured and is presently under arrest, according to authorities.
The state police and FBI are examining the area as part of the continuing investigation, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Police stated that the injured cops were hospitalized with “severe but non-life-threatening injuries” and were in stable condition. Graves said that the three policemen were able to communicate and assured her they were well.
The following standoff around the residence continued for hours and involved at least one other Missouri police force and the state’s highway patrol.

Investigation Continues
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s SWAT team arrived at the site early Wednesday morning, the agency said. The residence was reportedly seized by the highway patrol’s SWAT squad and FBI SWAT officers on Wednesday evening, according to the report.
“A guy was discovered dead and a female was discovered alive and unharmed. “She is currently in police custody,” stated the highway patrol.
Officials have not specified how the victim died, and as of Wednesday night, it remained unknown who shot at the three Kansas City cops. Investigators continued to analyze the crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
Mayor of Kansas City, Quinton Lucas, tweeted, “In Kansas City, we’ve been reminded too frequently recently of how deadly police job can be. I am praying for the complete recovery of our three injured officers this evening and for the safe return of everyone on duty to their families.”
