A 13-year-old girl was accidently shot in the face by her younger brother in the Gravois Park district of St. Louis. The gunshot was unintentional and took place in the 3100 block of Miami Street at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
It has been claimed that a shot was accidentally fired in the St. Louis neighborhood of Gravois Park, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
Girl Unintentionally Shot by Brother
On Saturday at approximately 6:15 p.m., a shooting happened accidentally in the 3100 block of Miami Street. An unintentional shooting occurred.
The 13-year-old girl was shot in the cheek by her younger brother with a pistol, according to the police report. She had been taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries before the arrival of emergency medical professionals.
After retrieving the pistol, the girl’s younger brother inadvertently shot the 13-year-old girl who was present at the residence at the time of the event, according to the police. Authorities in St. Louis have said that they will continue investigating how the child obtained the firearm.
According to the authorities, the 19-year-old male found in possession of the pistol was brought into custody. The Child Abuse Unit is currently conducting an inquiry into the shooting.
