Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S22 have been faced with a double whammy, as consumers have recently encountered defective hardware and software.
Social media channels, as well as the company‘s own Community forums, have posts depicting a bubble flaw on the bottom corners of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. On certain devices, the location is on the left, while on others, it is on the right.
Samsung Galaxy Defect
The good news is that this is only a cosmetic flaw, as nobody has noticed any performance issues, in contrast to the recent camera stabilization flaw.
Yet, given that the S23 Ultra costs over $1,200, you can’t blame them for being a little annoyed. According to the official Samsung UK Twitter account’s response to an afflicted user, the bubble is not a bug but rather a feature.
If you shine a bright enough light on the display of the S23 Ultra, certain areas appear to be squished, so the report goes.
The squished appearance is supposedly a result of Samsung’s pressing process during production when the company applies waterproofing and dust proofing to a phone’s display. Other than the bubble, everything appears to be fine.
This flaw continues to frustrate affected owners. It appears like Samsung UK’s Twitter account is reaching out and attempting to assist individuals with the bubble screen. The corporation is therefore aware of the flaw.

Battery Drainage
The same cannot be said for the recently released One UI 5.1 upgrade for earlier Samsung phones such as the S22 and S21.
The update was intended to simply provide new features and enhance device performance.
So far, several users have reported that their phone’s battery life has skyrocketed since the update. A user uploaded an image of the abrupt power leak on the European Samsung Community forums.
They claim that the battery on their S22 Ultra died after about seven hours of moderate use. Another customer claims that as a result of the problem, they must recharge their iPhone by noon. Until now, there is some disagreement over the specific reason for battery loss.
The battery loss may be caused by the One UI 5.1 upgrade putting Galaxy phones in Maximum Performance Mode or by a Samsung Keyboard compatibility issue, according to a GSMArena report. If the latter is true, rebooting the Keyboard and clearing its data cache are advised on official support pages.
We reached out to Samsung to discover whether it is aware of the battery drain and whether a fix is in the works. Regarding the One UI 5.1 update, the company has not yet made any official announcements.
In addition, we questioned what will be done for users affected by the bubble fault, such as replacing the screen. This report will be updated if we receive a response.
