Darius Miles’ Shooting Case
Captain Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Police Department stated that at about 1:45 a.m., the driver of another vehicle, in which Harris was a passenger, approached campus police near Bryant-Denny Stadium and reported that he had fired back after being shot at.
One of the suspects sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. Authorities did not identify the injured suspect.
The suspects apparently began the altercation by attempting to speak with Harris, who was uninterested since she had a boyfriend, the man who claims he fired in self-defense.
According to court documents, Davis fired the fatal bullets, but Miles actively caused Harris’ death by providing a pistol. The body of Harris, who had a five-year-old kid, was found in the vehicle.
Miles has eventually kicked off the team for allegedly being involved in the shooting. An ankle injury put him out for the remainder of the season. Miller, a 6-foot-9 forward from Antioch, Tennessee, averages 18.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game as a starter for the Crimson Tide this season.
