After being fired and blogging her last day at the social media startup while stealing company assets, Simona, a former TikTok employee, went viral.
The Saturday-posted video has received almost 1 million views. Simona can be seen in the video striding along a brightly colored corridor before the camera cuts to her dancing in front of the bathroom mirror.
TikTok Employee Vlogs Her Last Day In Office
The TikTok video continues a trend whereby workers record films of themselves while they go about their daily business in the workplace. Yet fans got a little surprise in Simona’s video. Simona makes it clear that she wants the user to join her in stealing company property from TikTok rather than simply titling the video “come with me to work a day at X company.”
Simona moves about the office in the film, pointing out unique spots like the colorfully lighted hallways, the incomparable toilets, and the breathtaking views the office provided.
Simona made sure to take something from the TikTok office along the way, making sure she didn’t depart empty-handed. These corporate assets turned out to be different snacks that TikTok provided to its staff.
Despite having to turn in her laptop, TikTok ID, and corporate lanyard, she made sure to keep them with her as well. Since then, TikTok has gained enormous popularity, amassing 1.7 million views and, as of this writing, more than 170,000 likes.
While some TikTok users praised Simona’s humorous handling of the incident, others criticized the corporation for firing staff in the replies. One user remarked on how ironic it was for Simona to post a TikTok as a former TikTok employee about stealing from the platform.

TikTok Company Mass Layoffs
Meanwhile, TikTok has acknowledged that certain of its US staff members have the capacity to enhance videos in order to showcase well-known artists and up-and-coming talent to the TikTok community.
This assertion is based on information concerning TikTok’s newest function, the Heater button, which is used to add particular movies to a user’s “For You” tab. To assist diversity in the content experience, the platform promises that it will also push some videos.
TikTok’s use of the promise of promoted content to get corporations and politicians to use the platform is not surprising, but it does imply that TikTok is selecting winners and losers.
Creators and brands can lose out on a space on someone’s “For You” page to someone who is more closely associated with the business.
