Starbucks recalls 300,000 Frappuccinos bottled drinks; Here’s why!

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), more than 300,000 bottles of Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino drinks have been recalled because some of the bottles included glass.

A recall of the 13.7-ounce Frappuccino glasses, which come in packs of 12 bottles, has affected more than 25,000 cases.

Starbucks Vanilla Drinks Recalled In US

The agency noted that PepsiCo, which manufactures and sells the goods for the US-based coffee chain, made the Class II recall voluntarily.

A Class II recall is issued when there is a remote chance that consuming or being exposed to a product that is illegal would cause temporary or medically manageable adverse health consequences, or when there is a remote chance that substantial adverse health effects will occur.

The bottles with use-by dates of March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10 of this year are the ones that are subject to the recall.

Products with a Class II recall label have a decreased risk of serious injury or death, but nevertheless have the potential for serious adverse events that could have permanent implications.

According to a statement given to ABC News by PepsiCo on behalf of the North American Coffee Partnership, certain batches of the drinks packed in 13.7-ounce (388-gram) glass bottles have been voluntarily recalled. According to the FDA, over 25,000 cases of glass bottles have been recalled. There were sales of the beverages all around the country. In the statement, the corporation did not immediately specify whether or not injuries have been recorded or what prompted the recall.

A PepsiCo representative said that the recalled beverages were not sold at Starbucks stores and that their removal from shelves is under progress.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), more than 300,000 bottles of Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino drinks have been recalled because some of the bottles included glass.

They said that Starbucks retail outlets no longer offer these goods for sale. The US Food and Drug Administration claimed that although the cause of the same was not cited in the statement, it was due to the presence of foreign objects (glass) in the coffee bottles.

According to an FDA notification published in September 2022, PepsiCo also recalled more than 200 cases of 15-ounce bottles of Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot drinks last year because they may have been contaminated with foreign objects (metal particles).

The contaminated coffee drink bottles were distributed in Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. PepsiCo also started the recall at that time, which was finished in November of the previous year.
