Alexandria Borys, 26, was allegedly shot in the back by an unknown person when they were arguing in the parking lot in South Carolina
On Valentine’s Day, a woman from South Carolina was gunned down in the parking lot of a grocery store after getting into an argument with a complete stranger.
Mom Shot Dead in Front of Her Young Children
Tyler Borys told FOX 57 Columbia that his wife, Alexandria Cress Borys, was loading groceries into her car at the Kroger in Irmo, South Carolina, when she got into an argument with an unidentified woman. The age of Alexandria Cress Borys is 26.
After the dispute ended, the stranger, later identified by Irmo police as 23-year-old Christina Harrison, allegedly drew a revolver and shot Borys in the back. Iroquois police eventually recognized Harrison as the culprit. When she was shot, the couple’s children, a 2-year-old toddler, and a newborn were in the car with her.
According to the Irmo Police Station, the incident occurred on Tuesday at about 4:00 p.m. The police responded promptly and confirmed Borys’s demise shortly after their arrival.
After speaking with witnesses and studying security footage, Irmo police investigators determined that the two women did not know one other and were involved in a verbal argument prior to the shooting, according to the Irmo police department.
It is unclear what precipitated the conflict between the two women or what they were arguing about throughout the altercation.
South Carolina Valentine’s Shooting Suspect
This is a circumstance in which fury dominated and tempers flared. Two families and countless others who witnessed this sad event have had their lives irreparably affected by a single impulsive action.
According to a Facebook post by Irmo’s chief of police, Bobby Dale, “The only word that comes to me to describe today’s events is unfathomable.”
As Harrison attempted to exit the parking lot at approximately 5:30 p.m., she called the police to indicate that she was turning herself in. She was processed and incarcerated at the Lexington County Detention Center on Tuesday evening.
Harrison is accused of murder, illegally carrying a gun, and having a weapon while committing a violent felony, according to the jail’s records. On Wednesday, Harrison was supposed to appear in court, but her private attorney opted not to go.
He described Alexandria, who was a cosmetologist and a nursing student, as the best wife and mother you could ever want in interviews with regional news websites.
