Stimulus checks 2023: Homeowners to receive up to $1,500 in 14 days; Who’s eligible?

Homeowners in New Jersey have only two more weeks to apply for a state program that will grant them up to $1,500.

Homeowners and renters in the state can still submit applications for the Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters program until the application deadline on February 28.

New Jersey Stimulus Checks

Payments under this program are scheduled to begin in the late spring, as stated by the New Jersey Division of Taxation. Beneficiaries can choose to receive their benefits either through direct deposit or by check.

Over 2 million middle-class and working-class homeowners, pensioners, and renter households in the state of New Jersey will get this money directly, according to a statement issued by Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey. This makes up well more than half of our entire population (D).

The direct relief provided by ANCHOR will, in essence, cancel out increases in property taxes that have been accruing over the course of several years, and potentially even a decade.

Additionally, the ANCHOR tenant assistance program will reduce the impact of rent hikes for about one million individuals.

Homeowners in New Jersey have only two more weeks to apply for a state program that will grant them up to $1,500.

This initiative will provide homeowners an additional $1,500 if their yearly income is less than $150,000, or an additional $1,000 if it is between $150,001 and $250,000. They will require an ANCHOR ID and PIN in order to apply for this program, which can be obtained by dialing the toll-free number 877-658-2972 or by applying online at this website.

Renters will not earn nearly as much as their homeowner counterparts, but they are still eligible to apply and will receive a payout of $450 as long as their yearly income is at or below $150,000.

The Division of Taxation suggests that tenants apply for the program online because there is no phone option for renters to use to apply for this program, and renters are not issued an ID or PIN when they apply for the program.

Candidates for this program also have the option of printing an application from the website and sending it, along with any other required materials, in the mail.

Renters and homeowners in the state who submit an application for this program will have their funds distributed to them no later than the month of May at the latest. The order in which payments are distributed to recipients will not reflect the order in which they were received.
