Inflation in the United States reached unprecedented levels in 2012. A number of government institutions approved sending stimulus checks or tax refunds as inflation relief for hard-working Americans in light of rising prices, particularly for basic goods.
Despite the recent decline in inflation, aid continues to be sent. Here are the states and amounts sending out checks or refunds in February.
States’ February Stimulus Checks
Hawaii
Residents of Hawaii who earned less than $100,000 or $200,000 filing jointly in 2021 should receive a $300 tax refund. Individuals who earned over $100,000 and couples who earned over $200,000 are eligible for a $100 payment.
Direct deposits started being issued at the end of August, but taxpayers who filed their 2021 state tax returns between July 31 and December 31, 2022, will receive direct deposits up to 10 weeks later.
Massachusetts
Approximately fourteen percent of a taxpayer’s state tax liability is eligible for a refund. Those who filed their 2021 tax return prior to October 17 should have received their refund in December. Taxpayers who filed returns after September 15, 2023, and before October 15, 2023, should receive their refunds one month after filing. You can consult more details on the state website.
New Mexico
Residents can still receive a $500 refund for single filers and a $1,000 refund for joint filers. Residents have until May 2023 to file their 2021 tax returns and be eligible for a refund.

Other Payments In 2023
South Carolina
Up to $800 may be refunded to eligible taxpayers. Payments began at the end of the prior year; however, those who file after February 15, 2023, will receive their refund in March 2023.
New Jersey
Due to Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters, roughly 2 million New Jersey households are eligible for property tax refunds (ANCHOR).
Homeowners with incomes up to $150,000 will receive property tax refunds of $1,500, while those with incomes between $150,000 and $250,000 will receive refunds of $1,000. Tenants with incomes up to $150,000 will receive $450. No, later than May 2023, refunds will arrive.
California
In February 2023, the Middle-Class Tax Rebate of up to $1,050 will continue. In October, payments began, but they will continue this month. On the Middle-Class Tax Refund website, you can review all of the details and payment dates.
