Super Nintendo World Mario Kart ride is having trouble with plus-size visitors

The main attraction at Super Nintendo World is unquestionably Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, but there is something you may want to verify before visiting the theme park.

Some park-goers have discovered the hard way that the ride’s size restrictions have prevented them from riding it.

What To Expect From Super Nintendo World?

The Hollywood theme park is scheduled to open on February 17, and gamers from around the world are already making preparations. However, some visitors who are overweight may not be able to fully enjoy the experience.

Riders will don special goggles and race alongside Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach in some of the most recognizable Mario Kart courses against Team Bower in this attraction based on the popular video game.

Riders will be able to collect coins, fire shells, and win the Golden Cup for Team Mario, thanks to the advanced technology incorporated into the game. Overall, the ride sounds completely insane.

It is not surprising that people are throwing money at Universal for the chance to enter Super Nintendo World as soon as possible.

The main attraction at Super Nintendo World is unquestionably Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, but there is something you may want to verify before visiting the theme park.

The team behind the production of Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge has warned that guests with a waistline of 40 inches or more may be denied entry.

It comes as Universal Studios and other major theme parks implement tighter restraints on their seats to keep small children safely fastened, leaving less room for larger riders to move around.

Some visitors have already been denied access to the ride due to their size.

Jim Seay, president of Premier Rides, which builds roller coasters for Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Six Flags, said in response to the decision, “Our top priority is always the safety of our guests and employees.

While the CDC reports that the average American male waist circumference is 39.7 inches and the average American female waist circumference is 37.5 inches, some disappointed fans have criticized Universal for the new safety measures.

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster and The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash ride also have height requirements, so this isn’t the first time Universal has done something like this.

Those who are concerned that these regulations will make their trip impossible need not worry just yet.

To help guests determine if they will fit on rides that have size requirements, test seats will be available outside the rides.

Second, those lucky enough to have visited Super Nintendo World before have assured those looking forward to going that the seating arrangements are still very forgiving. NBCUniversal has also confirmed it is exploring options to expand ride capacity.
