Apple Inc. introduced on Tuesday MacBooks powered by its new and faster M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs, weeks ahead of its typical schedule.
The release of Apple’s latest versions of the M2 chip, which debuted last year, is a result of the tech giant’s 2020 decision to employ in-house-designed semiconductors after 15 years of utilizing Intel’s technology.
Latest Apple MacBooks Release
The new Mac mini will be available beginning January 24 for $599. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the newest chips start at $1,999, while the 13-inch model with the M2 chip costs $1,299.
Bloomberg News reported in October that the debut of the new Macbook Pro models was delayed from last year to early 2023 due to supply-chain difficulties.
Everything is related to the delayed chipset switch. As a result of the delay, Apple must decide whether to wait for the typical, anticipated launch or do something surprising, according to Canalys analyst Runar Bjrhovde.
Apple’s stock increased almost 1 percent, outperforming a generally lower market. In 2022, the stock fell around 27%, its largest decline since the 2008 financial crisis.
Apple claims that the new M2 Pro contains roughly 20% more transistors than the M1 Pro and twice as many as the M2, enabling programs such as Adobe Photoshop to do intensive tasks faster than ever.
According to a Gartner research released on Tuesday, the business, whose chips are made by Taiwan’s TSMC, supplanted chipmaker Nvidia as one of the top 10 semiconductor manufacturers by revenue in 2014.
We estimate that these Apple processors will be worth $17.6 billion in 2022. Andrew Norwood, vice president, and chief analyst at Gartner attributed the growth to the rising price of ever-more-complex CPUs.
Typically, Apple hosts its first event of the year in March, when new iMacs and accessories are introduced. Earlier this year, Bloomberg News claimed that a long-awaited augmented reality headset could be released at this year’s spring event.

Release of Smart Speaker
Additionally, Apple just introduced their newest smart speaker earlier today, but a recent report shows that the corporation has much more ambitious plans for the smart home.
Apple is developing a number of products to help it compete with Google and Amazon in the market, according to the ever-present people with knowledge of the plans.
The upcoming version of the Apple TV, which is anticipated to release in the first part of next year, would reportedly feature a speedier processor while maintaining the same design as the present model.
Another product that combines an Apple TV box with a smart speaker and a FaceTime camera is in development, but there have been a number of setbacks in this project; the release date of the finished product, which was originally planned for this year, is now uncertain.
