Globally, support for vaccination requirements for employees, students, and indoor activities was approximately 60%, while support for overseas tourists was 70%. The decline in support from the previous year was approximately five percent. However, exceptions exist.
Support for every type of mandate increased by 5 to 10 percent in the United States, but support for the majority of mandates decreased by double digits in France, despite a rise in French support for an international travel mandate. Again, it appears that local context is crucial, and you cannot conclude anything based on global trends.
Overall, the survey reveals that local adaptations of health messages are essential, as there were exceptions in every group of countries, regardless of how they were categorized geography, GDP, etc. The global trend, however, is toward greater vaccination acceptance.

China Refuses To Adopt Western Vaccines
Despite the issues China has with COVID-19, Chinese leader Xi Jinping is unlikely to embrace Western vaccines, and while recent protests in China do not pose a danger to Communist Party power, they could impact his personal standing. Saturday, US Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines stated.
Although China’s daily COVID-19 instances are close to all-time highs, some localities are easing testing and quarantine regulations in response to Xi’s zero-COVID policy, which precipitated a severe economic slowdown and civil discontent.
Haines, speaking at the annual Reagan National Defense Forum in California, stated that despite the social and economic implications of the virus, Xi is refusing to accept a stronger vaccination from the West and is instead depending on a Chinese vaccine that is not nearly as effective against Omicron.
China has not licensed any international COVID-19 vaccinations, opting instead for domestically made vaccines that, according to certain research, are not as effective as their foreign counterparts. According to specialists, this suggests that lowering virus prevention efforts could pose significant hazards.
