Sony told people at CinemaCon 2022 that Venom 3, the next movie in the successful Venom series, is already in the works.
Fans loved the first and second Venom movies, which came out in 2018 and 2021, so making a third movie was a no-brainer.
In the first Venom movie, we met three symbiotes who went on a trip to Earth and decided to take over the planet. Eddie Brock, a reporter whose career was going downhill, bonded with the symbiote Venom, and the two of them took down the group that brought the symbiote to Earth.
In the second movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we meet Carnage and Shriek, two new supervillains who want to kill Brock and Venom. Even though Venom wins, the movie’s ending shows another possible bad guy.
In the last scenes, Brock and Venom talk about different universes before being whisked away to another world where J. Jonah Jameson is trying to find out who Spider-Man is.
When will Venom 3 come out?
There is no date yet for when Venom 3 will come out.
Sony announced that Venom 3 would be made at CinemaCon 2022. Since Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming out in December 2021 and Morbius is coming out on April 1, 2022, Sony may set a date for Venom 3 to give fans enough time to see all of the movies.

Who plays the roles in the movie Venom 3?
Venom 3 doesn’t have a set list of actors yet. But we can expect some actors to come back and play the same roles in the movie.
Tom Hardy plays Venom again.

In the first and second Venom movies, Tom Hardy put so much of himself into them. Because of how hard he works, the franchise has been so successful that it will be hard for a different actor to play Eddie Brock and Venom. Tom Hardy takes part in a tournament for martial arts.
When Tom Hardy entered (and won) a martial arts tournament in September 2022, he made the front page of many newspapers. Fandomwire says that during the tournament, Hardy got a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is the second-highest rank after the Black Belt.
Stephen Graham plays Detective Mulligan, also known as Toxin.
If the movie makers follow the storyline suggested at the end of Let There Be Carnage, Stephen Graham could also play Detective Mulligan or Toxin. But this doesn’t seem like a likely choice.
Other People in Venom
Michelle Williams, who plays Anne Weying, and Reid Scoot, who plays Dr. Dan Lewis, may also come back.
There have been rumors that Venom 3 could add new characters. One of the most likely rumors is that Joe Manganiello will play Flash Thompson, another host who became friends with the first symbiote.
Venom 3 Plot: What Will Happen in Venom 3?
Venom 3 could have a lot of different storylines. The ending and scenes in the middle of the credits of Venom: Let There Be Carnage showed Eddie Brock and Venom that they could do more.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage ended with a scene of Detective Patrick Mulligan, who was supposed to be dead, suddenly waking up with his blue eyes flashing. This could be a sign that Toxin, another symbiote host, exists. Since it looks like two other villains will die in the second movie, Toxin could become Venom’s main enemy.

Brock and Venom’s journey through the multiverse is another way the movie could go. Brock and Venom were talking about the multiverse during the scenes after the credits in Let There Be Carnage. Suddenly, they have whisked away to another dimension, specifically the one in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, after the credits, Brock talks to a bartender about how he doesn’t know what to do. Doctor Strange cast his spell just as Brock was leaving the bar.
It erased Spider-Man from everyone’s memory in this dimension and sent Brock and the other characters back to their own dimensions.
But when Doctor Strange’s spell brought Brock back home, he left a drop of symbiote behind. Could this mean that the most famous comic book enemies, Venom and Spider-Man, will finally meet?
Since the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are looking into the possibility of a “multiverse,” Sony and Marvel could work together, but Sony may have to start the process.
Ton Hardy gave us an update on June 16, 2022, by posting a picture of the script for the third movie on Instagram.
Venom 3 Trailer: Does Venom 3 have a trailer?
As of this writing, there is still no trailer for Venom 3.
Sony said in late April 2022 that they were making Venom 3, so we can expect the final release date and trailer to come out in late 2023 or early 2024.
In the meantime, the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage can be watched again here
