It Was Always Me is a streaming mystery-drama TV show from Colombia. On June 15, 2022, the show came out on Disney+ in Spain and Latin America. Tini Stoessel and Sebastian Yatra were the original stars of the show, but when they broke up, Karol Sevilla and Pipe Bueno took their place, and the whole plot of the show changed.
Filming for the series began in March 2021 in Cartagena and Bogotá and ended in May in Peninsula de Bar. In March 2020, it was said that the musical thriller series had been bought by Disney+. Fun fact: Tini Stoessel and Sebastian Yatra were supposed to star in It Was Always Me, but they broke up in the middle of filming, so they had to be replaced and the story had to be changed a bit.
The role of Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Diaz Smith was then played by Karol Sevilla. She is the show’s main character. Karol Sevilla has worked on shows like Soy Luna, La Rosa de Guadalupe, and Junior Express. On the other side of her is Pipe Bueno, who plays Noah, Lupe’s father’s young assistant.

It Was Always Me Plot
We don’t yet know what happens in Season 2 of It Was Always Me. But it will definitely pick up where the first season left off.
Lupe is a journalism student in Mexico. When she hears that her father, who was also known as “El Faraón,” has died, her life changes quickly. In his home country of Colombia, he is a well-known musician. So, Lupe decides to leave her home country of Mexico to go to the funeral of her father in the city of Cartagena in Colombia.
She meets a mysterious young man named Noah when she gets to Colombia. He turns out to be her late father’s assistant. Lupe stays when she starts to think that her father’s death may not have been an accident after all. She enters a music competition to find out more about how her father died and to find clues from his group of friends. Lupe has to face her biggest fear: singing in front of other people.
She goes on a musical adventure with Noah that is full of danger, mystery, intrigue, and love. But Lupe can’t trust anyone, not even Noah, and she has a long way to go before she finds out what’s really going on in the Caribbean region of Colombia.
