A Friend of the Family, a new miniseries from Peacock, just came out. The show’s plot is based on what happened in the Netflix true crime documentary Abducted in Plain Sight, which told the story of how family friend Robert Berchtold kidnapped Jan Broberg multiple times when he was young.
