The first season of Loot, a comedy starring Maya Rudolph, is going through Apple TV+ at full speed. Rudolph plays Molly Novak, a billionaire dealing with a public scandal after her husband betrays her. She’s at her lowest point when Sofia Salinas, the head of her charity, played by MJ Rodriguez, helps Molly fix her rapidly deteriorating public image.
Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster), Arthur (Nat Faxon), and Howard (Ron Funches), who works for Sofia, try to fix Molly’s reputation while Molly goes on a journey to find out more about herself. It’s unclear how Molly will get back on her feet in the Season 1 finale. But don’t worry, because Loot will be back for Season 2.
On July 11, Apple TV+ announced that Loot would return for a second season. When the network announces another season before the current one ends, that’s a good sign for the show. Variety says that Matt Cherniss, in charge of programming for Apple TV+, is excited about what Loot offers.
“This show has won over people worldwide, and we can’t wait for season two. Thanks to Maya, Alan, Matt, and the rest of the incredibly talented ‘Loot’ cast and creative team,” he said. “You’ve made a show with interesting and likable characters and funny and touching moments in every episode.”
Premiere Date
According to bustle, The official date for Season 2 of Loot has not been set yet. Since the show was just renewed, we might not know when it will return for a while. Considering the time it takes to make another season, Season 2 will likely come out in 2023.
Even though a summer premiere is a good bet, don’t be too surprised if Loot Season 2 breathes air closer to fall if the producers decide to take their time.

The Loot Season 2 Plot
It’s hard to tell what the writers’ room for Season 2 of Loot will come up with, but that doesn’t mean we can’t guess. From what we know about Season 1, it seems likely that Molly and Nicholas will have some trouble after she can’t make it to Nicholas’s play.

Even with Sofia’s plans, there are still a lot of problems with Molly. It seems that no one trusts the evil billionaire. Jean-Pierre (Olivier Martinez) and Molly’s relationship could worsen this season if their plan to filter water doesn’t work out. Even though Howard and Tanya (Amber Chardae Robinson) broke up, they might get back together in a later episode.
The Loot Season 2 Cast
Molly, played by Maya Rudolph, will almost certainly be back for Season 2. She is the show’s face, heart, and soul. Most of the cast, like Ron Funches, MJ Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Joel Kim Booster, and Olivier Martinez, will probably be back.

Since they were in Season 1, Ainsley (Stephanie Styles) and Rhonda are likely to be in more episodes (Meagen Fay). And it wouldn’t be strange to see Adam Scott do another stretch as John Novak since he is a big star and is already used to the streaming service.
Episodes Guide
The following season will likely have the same basic plot as the last one, which came after “Loot.” Billionaire Molly Novak (Maya Rudolph) lives her dream life with private jets, a huge mansion, and a Giga yacht — everything her heart could want. But when her husband of 20 years cheats on her, she goes crazy in public and gives the tabloids more to write about.
To her surprise, she is at her lowest point when she finds out that she has a charity foundation run by the no-nonsense Sofia Salinas (Michaela Jaé Rodriguez), who begs Molly to stop getting bad press. Molly goes on a journey of self-discovery with the help of her loyal assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) and Sofia and the rest of the team, which includes her mild-mannered accountant Arthur (Nat Faxon) and her optimistic, pop-culture-loving cousin Howard (Ron Funches). She might need to give back to others to get back to herself.

The last episode of the season, “The Silver Moon Summit,” was directed by Alan Yang and written by Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard. The episode’s official description says, “Season finale. The following season will likely pick up where the last one left off.
Molly has to choose between her past and future at the Silver Moon Summit in Corsica.” It’s also expected to pick up any cliffhangers or side stories from the last season and jump right into this world with more experiments, giving viewers something new to think about instead of the same old theme.
Also, the next season will likely have at least 10 episodes, each of which will run for about 23–30 minutes on average. We’d also like to point out that as of August 12, 2022, the exact episode titles and plot summaries for the next season can’t be confirmed because the network hasn’t announced them yet, which could take a while. For now, fans should be patient and binge-watch Loot Season 1, which just came out, to get back into this world before streaming the second season.
