The victory of The Mandalorian and the success of the last season of The Clone Wars have given Star Wars television more hope than ever before that it can stop the Empire.
Andor, which stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor and takes place about five years before the well-received Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is one of the most anticipated Star Wars TV shows coming to Disney+.
Fans have been excited while they wait for more information because that movie is popular as a Star Wars spinoff and will be shown on Disney+. On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, fans could start streaming the new Star Wars spin-off series. Rogue One writer and director Tony Gilroy is in charge of the show.
But in case anyone is curious about where else they might have seen all of the returning actors and actresses and all of the new faces joining the franchise for the next spy thriller, let’s take a closer look at who plays who in the Andor cast.
Diego Luna (Cassian Andor)
This Rogue One prequel story wouldn’t be complete without Cassian Andor himself, played by Diego Luna. He was one of the first actors attached to the project when it was announced in 2018, which is great because fans might have rioted if they had changed the cast.

After Rogue One came out in 2016, Luna went on to work on more feature films. The most notable of these was the remake of Flatliners and If Beale Street Could Talk. Luna’s most recent TV appearance was in Netflix’s Narcos:
Mexico. In 2022, he gave his voice to the DC League of Super-Pets cast, which made him kind of a part of the DC Universe.
Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma)
Mon Mothma’s legacy in Star Wars is made up of three movies and two episodes of the TV show. In Return of the Jedi, the role was played by Caroline Blakiston. Genevieve O’Reilly wore the robes in Revenge of the Sith and made a surprise appearance in Rogue One. She also voiced the character in Star Wars Rebels.
(Kath Soucie gave Mon Mothma her voice in The Clone Wars.) O’Reilly has been in movies like The Snowman and Tolkien. He also has recurring roles in the Australian drama Glitch and the Tim Roth-starring UK/Amazon Prime Video drama Tin Star.
Stellan Skarsgård (Luthen)
Stellan Skarsgard, who is the father of a Swedish acting family, has been a reliable addition to any production for a long time, whether it’s an art house drama or a genre-based blockbuster.
Having him join the Star Wars world as Luthen is surely a blessing. Who is seen talking to Cassian about a box he stole from the Empire in the teaser for the show?
His most recent TV role was in HBO’s Chernobyl miniseries, for which he was nominated for a Supporting Actor Emmy. His most recent role in a high-concept science fiction movie was Baron Vladmir Harkonnen in Dune, which was directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Skarsgrd also has a good relationship with Disney. He has played astronomer Erik Selvig in five different Marvel movies, with Thor: Love and Thunder being the most recent.
Denise Gough (Dedra Meero)
Denise Gough is better known in the UK than in the US. She will bring her theatre skills to Disney+ through Andor as Imperial officer Dedra Meero. The actor told The Direct that he was inspired by the role of Gus Fring played by Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito in Breaking Bad.
Gough co-starred with Genevieve O’Reilly in the 2019 movie A Kid Who Would Be King. She is best known for her roles in the miniseries Guerrilla on Showtime and Paula on the BBC.
Kyle Soller (Syril)
Kyle Soller from the UK got the part of Syril, a fellow Darksider who, as he said in an interview with CinemaBlend about the Andor cast, could have easily joined the Resistance if his situation had been different.

Even though he hasn’t done much work in the U.S., Soller is well-known for playing the son of the main character on PBS’s Poldark and in the HBO TV movie Brexit.
But he has a connection to Disney+ because he was the voice of the colorful star Dante on the animated show 101 Dalmatians.
Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen)
Adria Arjona was known as a “Geek Goddess” before she joined the cast of Andor. She plays a Lightsider named Bix Caleen who runs into Cassian.
She played Dorothy in Emerald City, NBC’s modern take on The Wizard of Oz. She also played Kaijus in Pacific Rim: Uprising, an occultist in Good Omens on Amazon Prime, and bloodsuckers in Morbius in 2022.
She also had a recurring role on Season 2 of True Detective, acted alongside Ryan Reynolds in Netflix’s 6 Underground, and played the bride in HBO Max’s remake of Father of the Bride.
