What is the Plot of Wednesday on Netflix?

Netflix has announced the official plots of the shows:

Wednesday Addams’s bad experiences as a student at Nevermore Academy, a unique boarding school in the middle of New England.

Netflix’s Wednesday

Wednesday tries to get a handle on her growing psychic ability, stop a monster who is terrorizing the town, and solve the supernatural mystery that her parents were caught up in 25 years ago, all while figuring out her new relationships at Nevermore, which are very complicated.

There has also been news of a much more detailed summary for Wednesday:

Willa, also known as Wednesday Adams, has been kicked out of eight schools in five years. She is starting a new chapter of her life at the academy, which is a boarding school that her parents went to 200 years ago. But Willa doesn’t want anything to do with their old school, and she’s already making plans to leave.

But this academy is different from all the other schools she’s been to. There are four main groups at this school for people who don’t fit in: the Fangs (vampires), the Furs (werewolves), the Scales (sirens), and the Stoners. It is also part of the mystery that holds dark secrets about her family’s past.

Cast Members of Wednesday

Wednesday Addams’ part has finally been found out. Jenna Ortega, who most Netflix users should know by now, will play the iconic role.

Ortega has been in several Netflix Originals. She is best known for playing Ellie in the second season of You, Phoebe in The Babysitter: Killer Queen, and Katie Torres in Yes Day. She is also the voice of Brooklyn in the popular animated show Camp Cretaceous, which is based on Jurassic World.

Ortega has also been in popular shows and movies like Disney’s Elena of Avalor, The CW’s Jane the Virgin, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Iron Man 3.

Netflix’s Wednesday

We finally got our first full look at Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams during Netflix’s Geeked Week. Fans of the Addams Family, both new and old, should be very excited to see Ortega work.

In an exciting turn of events, Christina Ricci, who was in The Addams Family and Wednesday Addams, has joined the cast of Wednesday! We don’t know what role Ricci has yet, but we do know that she won’t be playing an older version of Wednesday Addams.

Who is in the Rest of the Cast?

We finally have the cast for Morticia and Gomez Addams on Wednesday. It took a little longer than expected. Morticia Addams will be played by Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones. Her on-screen husband, Gomez Addams, will be played by Luis Guzmán.

The Wednesday series has also found the people who will play the other main roles and supporting roles.

The Students

Emma Myers has been chosen to play Enid Sinclair, a happy-go-lucky werewolf who lives with Willa (Wednesday). Enid wore brightly colored accessories with her purple school uniform, which was the exact opposite of what Willa did.

Tyler Galpin, played by Hunter Doohan, is a smart and sensitive young man whose relationship with his father, the sheriff of the town, isn’t working. Tyler is a real person. He works part-time at the local cafe and wants to leave the town for good when he finishes high school.

Netflix’s Wednesday

Percy Hynes White has been chosen to play Xavier Thorpe, a rich and spoiled young man who is interested in Willa.

Joy Sunday has been cast as Bianca Barclay, a siren who is seen as royalty at school, and her attitude shows it. Willa and Bianca are always fighting, but under her scales is a woman whose life has not been easy.

The Adults

Principal Larissa Weems is played by Gwendoline Christie. She always fights with Willa because she thinks she’s just a troublemaker. She acts friendly and open, but like a good diplomat, she hides how she really feels.

Dr. Valerie Kinbott, played by Riki Lindhome, is an oddball therapist who cares a lot about her newest patient, Willa. Dr. Kinbott is thoughtful and has a good mind. He also likes taxidermy, Diptyque candles, and cashmere ponchos.

Sheriff Donavan Galpin, the only parent of teen Tyler, will be played by Jamie McShane. Time has worn down the sheriff, making him cynical and angry. Because of this, he often gets angry with his son and treats him badly. When several murders happen near the academy, he becomes obsessed with finding a link between the murders and the school.

Thora Birch will play Ms. Tamara Novak, the academy’s only human teacher. Tamara teaches AP Biology, and she thinks Willa is a lot like her because she is smart, quirky, and wise.

What is the Production Status of Wednesday?

Official Production Status: Post-Production (Last Update: 06/06/2021)

The main filming for the project started in September 2021 in Romania.

Filming went on all through the fall and winter until February 10, 2022, when it was finally done.

What is the Episode Count for Wednesday?

The first season of Wednesday will have a total of eight episodes. This is already known.

Each episode lasts about 60 minutes.

Is Wednesday a Limited Series?

It’s still not clear if Wednesday will only have one season on Netflix.

We have no doubt that Wednesday will be a huge hit with Netflix subscribers. We think it will be one of the most popular Netflix Originals since Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, and The Witcher.

Tim Burton, who is in charge of the show as showrunner, director, and executive producer, is likely to have a big say in whether or not there will be a second season.
