Boudica, which stars Black Widow’s Olga Kurylenko, has finished filming in the UK. Today, Bleiberg Entertainment released an official first look image from the movie.
The movie about the legendary warrior queen was written and directed by Jesse V. Johnson (The Debt Collector). Peter Franzén (Vikings), Clive Standen (Vikings), and Lucy Martin (Vikings) also star. Nick Moran (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels), Rita Tushingham (Last Night in Soho), James Faulkner (Game of Thrones), Harry Kirton (Peaky Blinders), and Leo Gregory (Green Street Hooligans) round out the cast.
Next month at AFM, Bleiberg and Dimbort will show the first footage of the game at their office.
Based on real events that happened in 60 A.D., Boudica is about the eponymous Celtic Queen, Boudica, who rules the Iceni people with her husband, Prasutagus. When Rome betrays and kills him, Boudica’s kingdom has no male heir, so they take her land and property.
Boudica is almost driven to madness by the death of her husband, but she is determined to get revenge. She gathers the different tribes in the area and fights an epic war against the powerful Roman Empire.
Producers include Boudeg Ltd. and Bleiberg Entertainment. The show is made by Ehud Bleiberg, Lucinda Thakrar, and Mark Vennis. Danny Dimbort, Nicholas Bennett, Ariel Bleiberg, and Julie Kroll are the four people in charge of making the show.
Kurylenko is best known for her roles as Antonia/Taskmaster in Black Widow and in the movies Quantum of Solace and Oblivion.
